Colorado Regional Gathering is happening again this Fall but not at all as usual. Instead of the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes, CRM will be online on Zoom this year. Please mark your calendars for Nov. 6-8, 2020 (Friday evening until before noon on Sunday). The theme is:  Hope for Healing the World: Our Experiences during the Pandemic.

We are excited to welcome John Calvi, who many of you know from IMYM and Boulder Friends Meeting, as our keynote speaker this year.  He will share his experiences during these challenging times both personally and from being with others. He will bring a transformative perspective of the past and for the future in the face the pandemic, the election, protests, and recent climate trauma from his wide experience with healing. To prepare, check out his books: ‘The Dance Between Hope & Fear’–speaks to healing from trauma, a common experience during our pandemic and political turmoil and ‘How Far Have You Traveled’– speaks to knowing ones goodness amidst the witness of so much pain and confusion in the world.

Saturday morning will be the keynote and a discussion. Afternoon will be breakout groups for social action, expressive writing, wellness through music and movement, a follow-up session with John Calvi, and a ‘drop in’ chat room. Youth and families may want to join in the early evening activities:  Friday eve ‘getting to know you’ games with Andrew Banks as host, Saturday eve traditional Creativity Night with Kevin Slick as MC followed by a sing-along and the movie, Sweet Home Monteverde, about a Quaker school and center in Costa Rica. Worship sharing will commence on Saturday and Sunday mornings along with a brief Meeting for Business and a Meeting for Worship later Sunday morning.

The planning committee has decided to offer this Gathering freely to attendees, but please do register at the link below receive the zoom link to attend.  Registration is now open! Also visit the gathering page to view the schedule, descriptions of breakout groups, and see  photos and bios of the group leaders.

Please let others know, even those in Quaker meetings in other States. Together we will experience inspiration, hope, new directions and of course spiritual fellowship.
