Booksales Support Coordinator

The Booksales Support Coordinator works with the supplier’s sales representative to provide a source of Quaker and other materials for Yearly Meeting Friends to purchase. 

Appointment: The Booksales Support Coordinator is appointed for a three year term beginning at the rise of an annual session. 

Responsibilities of the Booksales Support Coordinator include:

1.  To assist the booksales coordinator - from the AFSC Bookstore, Pasadena - in providing a useful and efficient book supply service at the yearly meeting.

2.   To send to the booksales coordinator as early as possible the name of the guest resource speaker and topics of interest groups so that appropriate book titles may be obtained.

3.  To provide the booksales coordinator assistance with setting up and dismantling the bookstore and with shipping of materials as needed.

4.  To assist the booksales coordinator in staffing the bookstore.

5.  To solicit special consignments of materials of likely interest to attendees. 

Financial Arrangements:  The Yearly Meeting pays the expenses of the Booksales Support Coordinator to the annual session as needed.  (See the Guide page Who Pays IMYM Travel.)  Incidental operating expenditures for clerical supplies, communications, etc., may be submitted to the Treasurer for reimbursement.  The Treasurer should be consulted before incurring unusual expenses.
